Beauty

Voor de tweede kaart die ik als gastdesigner heb gemaakt, heb ik twee van de stempels gebruikt die Jetske heeft uitgezocht, de columbine circle en de bow dress.

For today's card I used two stamps that Jetske picked, the columbine circle and the bow dress.

Voor alle details van de kaart verwijs ik weer naar het blog van het designteam. Het tekststempeltje is van Art Neko en had ik nog liggen hier.

Moeilijk

De vader van een goede kennis van mij was overleden, dus het was tijd voor een condoleancekaart. Altijd moeilijk om te maken, je kunt er niet echt van genieten, ook al is het resultaat mooi. Onderwijl denk ik dan meestal aan wat ik er in ga schrijven, ook al zo'n moeilijke opgave soms.
De roos is een stempel van Art Neko, die ik met zwart heb geembossed en onder de uitgeponste cirkel heb geplakt.

The father of a friend had passed away so I had to make a condolences card. I always find that difficult, you can't really enjoy the result even if it's beautiful. And while I'm crafting I'm thinking about what to write in the inside, also hard to do sometimes.
The rose is from Art Neko. I embossed it in black and adhered it under the opening of the circle.

Grunge

Simon says stamp and show your grunge! Nou, hierbij dan! Ik heb zo ongeveer alle stempelmerken die ik heb gebruikt, zie de labellist, en twee kleuren distress inkt. Het was werkelijk heerlijk om zo'n kaartje eens te maken, maar ik vraag me wel af aan wie ik iets dergelijks kan sturen. Het is toch niet een stijl die iedereen aanspreekt.

Simon says stamp and show your grunge!  Well, here it is! The great thing about challenges is that you finally use some of those techniques or ideas you've always wanted to try but never got round to. This was so much fun to do, just ink, paint, gesso and stamps, stamps, stamps. I think I used about every brand I own, lol.
But, having said that, I really don't know who would appreciate receiving a card in this style. Maybe I should focus on other things than cards.

Bedankt - Thanks

De stempel van Art Neko heb ik eerst met stiften gekleurd, vervolgens wat water erover verneveld en afgedrukt op een kaartje van aquarelpapier. De tekst is een clear stempel.



First I coloured the stamp from Art Neko with brushmarkers, then I sprayed some water on it with a minimister and stamped it on water-colour cardstock. The sentiment is a clear stamp.

Challenge 3 De Stempelwinkel

Het thema van de derde challenge van De Stempelwinkel is Voorjaar. Ik had nog een bloempotje staan, dat me hiervoor wel geschikt leek. Het was al groen, dus ik heb het niet zelf hoeven verven.



The theme for the third challenge at De Stempelwinkel is Spring. I found an old flowerpot that I could use. It was already painted green but I guess you can use any old pot and paint it in a colour to your liking.

I then stamped it with Brilliance ink. Could only use small stamps due to the curviness of the pot. The stamp I used here is from Art Neko, sold on Floral Sheet 1A at De Stempelwinkel.



Vervolgens bestempeld met Brilliance inkt. Omdat de pot rond loopt, kon ik enkel kleinere stempels gebruiken. Hier heb ik er eentje van Art Neko gebruikt, te koop bij De Stempelwinkel op Floral Sheet 1A.

Dan nog wat kant en lint aangebracht en het bloempotje is klaar. Nu op naar het tuincentrum voor een bijpassend bloemetje, zal gezellig staan op de paastafel.



Added some lace and ribbon and all it needs now is a nice plant.

Japans - Japanese

Eindelijk een kaartje uit 2010. Lekker simpel en Oosters, toch altijd één van mijn favoriete onderwerpen. Het bamboe is van Sirius, de libelles van Inkadinkado, de stempel (op het stukje kurk) van Art Neko.

At last I've managed to make and post a card in 2010! Nice and simple and Oriental, one of my favorite themes. The bamboo is a stamp from Sirius, the dragonflies are from Inkadinkado and the stamp (on the piece of cork in the righttop corner) is from Art Neko.

Te taat - Too late

Deze maakte ik voor een challenge van Art Creations Friday . Maar helaas kreeg ik 'm niet meer vóór vrijdag af. Toch zonde om het dan niet af te maken, dus hier alsnog het resultaat. De challenge was om wat met de aangeleverde achtergrond te doen. Het plaatje van Jean Harlow komt van internet. De stempel Beauty is van een sheet van Art Neko, van Touch en de Aziatische tekst weet ik het merk niet.

I made this one especially for a challenge by Art Creations Friday. But as you will notice, it's Sunday and the card is overdue. Anyway, did want to finish it, so here's the result. The callenge was to make something inspired on the background picture. I got the picture of Jean Harlow on the net. The stamp Beauty is from a sheet from Art Neko, I don't know the mark of Touch and the Asian text.
