Faux airbrush

Dit kaartje heb ik gemaakt met de faux airbrush techniek. In een voorgaande uitgave van de Craft Stamper stond daar een artikel over.

De stempel van de bloem is van Non Sequitur. Het sjabloon heb ik uit een sjablonenboek.

I used the faux airbrush technique that was published in one of the former issues of the Craft Stamper. The stamp is from Non Sequitur and the stencil from a book full of stencils, yummy!

Silhouette

Een zomers kaartje met de silhouette bloemen van Non Sequitur. Ik heb hierbij weer lekker met de brayer gespeeld. Had heel toevallig een pakje papier liggen dat me eigenlijk niet zo beviel, maar perfect bleek te zijn om te brayeren.
Als je wilt weten hoe ik het gemaakt heb, moet je maar even kijken op het blog van het designteam. Ik doe met deze kaart mee aan de challenge bij Simon says stamp and show.

A one layer summer card with the flower silhouettes from Non Sequitur. I had fun with the brayer once again. As it happens I have a pack of cardstock that's just perfect for this.

Onder water

Een uitgebreide kaart dit keer. De voorkant is van acetaat dat ik door een CB folder heb gehaald en wat gekleurd heb met blauw alcoholinkt. De schelpen zijn ge-embossed met verschillende kleuren embossingpoeder, uitgeknipt en opgeplakt.

This card is made of a bit more elements than usual. I embossed the acetate front with a CB folder and coloured it slightly with blue alcohol ink. The shells were embossed with different colours embossing powder, cut out and adhered to the acetate.

Als je de kaart openslaat, komt de meermin tevoorschijn. Als zeewier heb ik swirls gebruikt en alle kleurtjes blauw en groen embossingpoeder dat ik had liggen. De meermin zelf is ingesmeerd met een laag Rock Candy stickles. (dubbelklikken om dat te kunnen zien)

When the card is opened you can see the mermaid swimming along. I used swirlstamps for seaweed and all the blue and green embossingpowders I had laying around. The mermaid herself is covered in Rock Candy stickles.(double-click to see the stickles)

De gebruikte stempels zijn van Enchanted Ink (zeemeermin en schelpen), Cherry Pie (zeewier) en De Stempelwinkel.

Stamps are from Enchanted Ink (mermaid and shells), Cherry Pie (swirls) and De Stempelwinkel.

I would like to enter this card for this week's Grungy Monday challenge which takes on a Tim Holtz related theme every week. And this week it is rock candy.

Uilen

De achtergrond heb ik gemaakt door met een acryl stempelblok te stempelen, erg eenvoudig en een leuk effect. Het was de bedoeling om dit op een one layer card te doen, maar natuurlijk moest ik weer een zwarte vlek maken met een vinger waar nog inkt aan zat, dus heb ik dat deel er maar afgesneden. Alle twee de stempels zijn van de silhouetten plate van Rubberstamp Ave.

I stamped the background with an acryllic mount, so easy and such great result. I intended it to be a one layer card again but alas, I messed it up and made a stain with black ink that somehow had found its way to my finger.  So I cut it out and made a layered card. Both stamps are from the silhouette plate from Rubberstamp Ave.

Grunge

Simon says stamp and show your grunge! Nou, hierbij dan! Ik heb zo ongeveer alle stempelmerken die ik heb gebruikt, zie de labellist, en twee kleuren distress inkt. Het was werkelijk heerlijk om zo'n kaartje eens te maken, maar ik vraag me wel af aan wie ik iets dergelijks kan sturen. Het is toch niet een stijl die iedereen aanspreekt.

Simon says stamp and show your grunge!  Well, here it is! The great thing about challenges is that you finally use some of those techniques or ideas you've always wanted to try but never got round to. This was so much fun to do, just ink, paint, gesso and stamps, stamps, stamps. I think I used about every brand I own, lol.
But, having said that, I really don't know who would appreciate receiving a card in this style. Maybe I should focus on other things than cards.

Blog hop

Bij Simon Says Stamp hebben ze de beide challenges samengevoegd voor één grote bloghop door alle DT blogs. Erg leuk om al die verschillende stijlen dan te zien.
Aan de blog hop zit een gezamenlijke challenge vast met als thema Feestdagen. Omdat ik met Halloween niets heb, is het een kerstkaart geworden. Lekker felle kleurcontrasten en verder zo rustig en simpel mogelijk.
De stempel is van Inkadinkado, de gebruikte glimmer mists zijn Midnight Blue en Fully Purple.

At Simon Says Stamp  both challenge blogs joined forces in one great blog hop. Loved to check out all those DT blogs, such talented ladies and gent. Go check it out, fantastic prices to win too.
Anyway, the theme is Holiday Fun and I made this christmas card. Strong, bold colours and a simple design.
The stamp is from Inkadinkado and the glimmer mists are Midnight Blue and Fully Purple.

Layers

Dat is het thema bij Simon Says Stamp and Show. Ik heb de achtergrond gesponsd met Tattered Rose, daarna een aantal kleuren glimmermist toegevoegd en bestempeld (onbekend) met Tattered Rose. Ook de glitters zijn Tattered Rose.
Daaroverheen een stukje gaas. Daar weer overheen 3 gescheurde sterren die met Caramel en Espresso van Adirondack gesponsd zijn. De grootste ster is bestempeld met een achtergrondstempel van Art Specially en de kleinere sterren met French Writing van Hero Arts.

That's the theme at Simon Says Stamp and Show. I sponged the background with Tattered Rose and added a few layers of Glimmermist (Pearl and Vintage Pink). Stamped (unknown) with Tattered Rose and added some Tattered Rose stickles.
The three stars were sponged with Caramel and Espresso Adirondack inks. On the large one I used a background stamp from Art Specially, on the smaller ones the French Writing from Hero arts.

Simon Says Stamp and Show

Bij Simon Says Stamp zijn ze een nieuwe challenge blog begonnen naast de bestaande challenge voor cute/scrapkaarten. Deze Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge richt zich meer op de vintage stijl van Graphic 45, Tim Holtz etc.
De opdracht voor deze week is om je te laten inspireren door Tim Holtz. De hele hobbykamer is overhoop gehaald, alles zit onder de inkt en de katten werden wild van de vogelveertjes. Maar wat een heerlijk geklieder!

Simon Says Stamp started another challenge. This one, the Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge is meant for vintage, Graphic 45, Tim Holtz style of work instead of the cute/scrapcards at the regular challenge.
This week's challenge is to create something inspired by Tim Holtz. I totally enjoyed messing up the entire craftroom and driving the cats nuts with loose feathers laying around. This is what I ended up with.

Vandaag een kaartje dat voldoet aan twee challenges, te weten het recept dat deze week voor Simon Says Challenge geldt, en de sketch van The Cuttlebug Spot.

Aaaaawwwww

Tijd om weer eens een simpel schattig kaartje te maken. Ditmaal voor een jongetje dat maar liefst één jaar wordt. Het stempeltje is van Marianne Design en ik heb het met aquarelverf ingekleurd.

Dit kaartje voldoet ook meteen aan de challenge van Simon Says Challenge , die deze week om een mannenkaart vragen.



It's time for a simple cute card. This time for a big boy that's turning into a one-year-old quite soon. The stamp is from Marianne Design and I coloured it with watercolour paint.
I'm entering the card in the Simon Says Challenge , which is all about male cards, any age, this week.

Sketch

Het is al een tijd geleden dat ik een scrapkaartje had gemaakt, maar nu vond ik het weer eens tijd. Lekker recht toe recht aan volgens een sketch van Simon Says Stamp!

Birthdays/Celebrations

Bij het Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog is het thema Verjaardag / Vieringen. Dit omdat het blog 1 jaar bestaat. Er is een enorme prijs aan verbonden, dus ga eens kijken daar.

De gebruikte stempel was weer een clear stamp dus helaas weet ik het merk niet. Het is wel een erg stemmige kaart voor een 1-jarige, maar dat mag de pret niet drukken.



At the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog the theme is Birthdays / Celebrations because they celebrate their first blogaversary. They're offering a spectacular prize so do check it out.

The card's a bit sober maybe for a one year old but the 'Congratulations' (Proficiat) is sincere! ;)

Simon Says Challenge - Things with wings

Bij de Simon Says Challenge is deze week het thema: Things with wings. Ik heb hiervoor eerst de bij en de andere vliegende beestjes met wit geembossed. (klik op foto om te vergroten)Een beetje kleur gegeven met Wild Honey Distress inkt. Hierna heb ik het honingraatpatroon erover heen geborduurd. Vervolgens nog een bloemetje en een op vellum geembossede vlinder.

Alle stempels zijn van Inkadinkado.

The theme at the Simon Says Challenge is: Things with wings. I embossed the bee (lower left corner) and those other flying creatures at the top with white. Then sponged some Wild Honey Distress ink for colour. I embroidered the honeycombpattern in white. I added the flower and a white embossed butterfly on vellum and to finish it I mounted evrything on a white left-folded card. (Click on picuture to enlarge if needed.)
