Steampunk

Het is een hele tijd geleden dat ik meedeed met de challenge bij Art Creations Friday. Maar ik zag het plaatje en bedacht me dat ik daar wel mooi papier bij had. Ik realiseerde me echter niet dat de ontwerpers van dat papier (Graphic 45) daar ook zo over gedacht hadden, want vergelijkbare afbeeldingen hadden zij ook gebruikt. Nu ja, niet superorigineel dus maar toch leuk geworden. De stempel van de radertjes is van Paper Artsy en het papier dus van Graphic 45 (Steampunk Debutante).

It's been a while since my last entry for the Art Creations Friday challenge. When I saw the picture for this week's challenge I thought I had the perfect papers to match it with, but didn't realise the designers had had that same idea, since they use this type of pictures a lot in the series (Steampunk Debutante from Graphic 45).
Ah well, so much for originality. Anyway, I still like the result. The stamp is from Paper Artsy.

Grunge

Simon says stamp and show your grunge! Nou, hierbij dan! Ik heb zo ongeveer alle stempelmerken die ik heb gebruikt, zie de labellist, en twee kleuren distress inkt. Het was werkelijk heerlijk om zo'n kaartje eens te maken, maar ik vraag me wel af aan wie ik iets dergelijks kan sturen. Het is toch niet een stijl die iedereen aanspreekt.

Simon says stamp and show your grunge!  Well, here it is! The great thing about challenges is that you finally use some of those techniques or ideas you've always wanted to try but never got round to. This was so much fun to do, just ink, paint, gesso and stamps, stamps, stamps. I think I used about every brand I own, lol.
But, having said that, I really don't know who would appreciate receiving a card in this style. Maybe I should focus on other things than cards.

De laatste - The latest

Ik start de blog met het laatste kaartje dat ik gemaakt heb. De achtergrond is gemaakt met drie kleuren distress inkt. De flourish is een stempel van Cherry Pie. Het gezicht van Paper Artsy is gestempeld op een apart stukje papier en ingekleurd met distress inkt. Uitgeknipt en met foamtape opgeplakt.

I'll kick off with the latest card I've made. The background was done with three colours of distress ink. The flourish stamp is from Cherry Pie. The face is a stamp from Paper Artsy, coloured with distress ink as well. It's been mounted on the background with foam tape.
